Mt. Moses at noon by yori1976 Mt. Moses at noon by yori1976
This was taken near the top of Mt. Moses in Sinai.
The harsh noon light made sharp contrast - white highlights and dark shadows.
The Nikkor 28 mm f-2.8 AIS lens, Kodachrome 64 and polarizing filter did the rest. Filter is partially to blame for the vignetting.
No PS other the slight color correction.

Added as a response to :iconkkart:'s journal.
The journal is good - read all his journals, and watch his work, but always remember - rules are made to be broken. Nothing is absolute.

Thanks - I still have some rolls of Kodachrome in my freezer - development prepaid... I guess I'll keep them for some museum :)
Sad, but that's progress... :(

It is a shame... personally have been moving back to film for several reasons, even "regular" developing is becoming a "specialty" service in many areas. I was told by the techs at my local Sault lab I was one of only a handful who still brought them in.

I gave up - have shot any film in months.
I'm still hanging onto the films in my fridge - don't know for how long...

Thanks!!!

You could get on a camel in the morning and arrive around noon - quite remote, but there are many trails and a monastery on top or around (this is old...).
Sinai is in Egypt, so you can either travel through Eilat or from the Egyptian side.

It is a great location - worth visiting!

The unusual rock formations and colors are great, the human touch is extra!

Kodachrome 64 always reminds me of National Geographic, which this sort of does.
