Traveler

Composition is very simple - few elements, very precise - try to see what you can take away without harming the image.
Then, there is the theme, where it gets complicated, because a "Traveler" is no just someone traveling. I tried to portray something relating to the rootless traveler, that has no home - what does he want? What is he looking for? (She?)

Technical:
A few objects on green marble...
The left side object was originally an accessory to my dad's slide projector, used for uncut films... I inserted the eye from a contact sheet I made for another project, and a piece of yellow card paper - because it looked right...
When I started working on this image I had 16 objects on the marble (I counted them on the first Polaroid shot) - as I progressed, I got closer and removed objects, staying with this.

I have just replaced it with a better scan, so all you people who started watching me after... a long time ago can have a better look...

Request: tell me if it looks too dark or contrasty - I am not sure about my screen - it's new...
